Human Spirit
A Superiority Complex?
We hear a lot about inferiority complexes, you know, when one person feels less than another, and pedestals the other party, but what about the superiority complex? We all know, and if we can be absolutely honest with each other, we at times have all been, one of those people who character assassinate others in order to blow wind up our own arse and feel better or more superior than other mere mortals.
Fear Storms
I used to think I was going backwards if I was feeling fear, that I was being unspiritual and imperfect. Read more »
Edge Dwellers
"If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space". I used to love that saying but didn't really know why. Now I do. I am a proud Edge Dweller learning how to also live in main stream civilization without losing my "edge". Read more »
Attracted To Rejection
Somehow the adrenalin that accompanied being rejected had become more of a comfort, than any compliment ever was for me. Whenever I was upset and needed to calm myself, I used to think hard of who I could start an argument with by phone, by visiting or pretending to run into. Molesting Mangoes?
Yeah right! Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous?
I was gob smacked when I was accused of this very act. Just yesterday, in broad daylight at one of my favourite fruit and veggie shops a complete stranger was ready to put me in emotional handcuffs.
For those who are new to my blog, I am a nature lover. I am the sort of woman who apologises to flowers if I drop them whilst trying to trim and arrange their lovely legs in a vase. Mother Nature and Father Time have been my hearts parents all my life and I respect and adore them. Read more »
An Indigenous Heart
“Your talk was the first white fella recovery talk I have ever heard that makes any sense to me for my people”. She looked deep into me with her magnetic chocolate eyes and gave me a gentle smile.
This Indigenous Elder in far North Queensland early in 2009 stood after I had run my morning workshop to offer her opinion. I have never felt so honoured as she and the other attendees applauded me with a standing ovation. Read more »
