When I hear statements like "just do everything in life in balance" it can sometimes be a clue that the person dishing out the advice, might just be a perfectionist setting an unachievable benchmark for you and me to try to live up to.  Some people are great at talking the talk, but not so impressive when it comes to walkin' the walk.  

Are we really all striving to do everything in life in balance all the time? That's a big ask!

It's a challenging place to be emotionally when you truly love someone deep in your heart, but can't stand being in their company anymore, not just sometimes, but all the time.

I was sharing from the stage at a recent Step Up event for teens about the subject of Emotional Homework.  You see I was a person in my teenage and young adult life that decided to skip the life lessons set for me by Mother Nature and Father Time during this stage of life.  I thought that I could get away with not doing them and nobody would know.  My reasons for deciding to emotionally take off were varied.  In a nutshell though it was mainly because I knew my level of emotional literacy was already very poor and felt sure I would fail, so saw no sense in maki

I was asked to present on a panel at an international conference in Sydney a couple of years back to discuss the subjects of Mindfulness and Mediation in modern day life.  On the panel with me were some Buddhist Monks, Clinical Practitioners and other international experts on this subject.  I was fortunate to be the last person to present on this panel, and when it came to sharing my view on mediation techniques and how one masters them, my response was simply.
